Roscosmos initiates checks of facilities by Audit Chamber

MOSCOW, Dec 4 (PRIME) -- Russian state space corporation Roscosmos has asked the Audit Chamber to check all its space industry facilities in 2019 starting with Rocket and Space Corporation Energia, head of the company’s press service Vladimir Ustimenko told PRIME on Tuesday.

“Roscosmos has initiated unannounced checks by the Audit Chamber which will take place in 2019. The first check will be held at Rocket and Space Corporation Energia. A global check of the entire industry will follow,” he said.

The Audit Chamber’s head Alexei Kudrin called Roscosmos a champion of financial violations. He charged the company with unreasonable spending, disruptive behavior, incorrect procurement procedures and a loss of several billion rubles. The Prosecutor General’s Office initiated 16 criminal cases against Roscosmos.
